Pros

There is nothing positive I can say about the experience of working at UnityPoint Corporate/“Shared Services” in the Office of Strategy Management.

Cons

Leadership is abysmal. The Office of Strategy Management (formerly the Enterprise Project Management Office) quite literally has no idea as to what is going on or how to operate. Department leaders are intentionally deceptive to the detriment of employees and the turnover rate in this department is well in excess of industry standards. Most employees earn well over $100,000 and leave willingly within a year of hire. Nepotism is rampant at UPH corporate which speaks very poorly to executive leadership/Board of Directors ability to effectively govern and direct. Incompetent“leaders” in the OSM are insulated via nepotism within the corporate Human Resource hierarchy and operate with relative impunity. OSM Projects are consistently micromanaged to failure. Job satisfaction is non-existent. If you fancy yourself a professional I would highly recommend steering clear of this company.

Pros

Mostly great people to work with, except management was terrible and inept at there jobs.

Cons

They micromanaged, had no idea what they were doing, and caused high turn over rates. They would often turn other employees against each other promising false raises and promotions. The rules were made up as they felt benefited them. They were total yes people to there superiors with out asking there actual I.T. staff if certain "things" were possible, making the I.T. groups look inept and poor at there jobs. I could go on for hours of how badly and over worked the I.T. staff was treated in Des Moines, Iowa aswell as low pay for the large volume of tickets and travel to various clinics ran there people ragged.
