Pros

Unlocking ADHD is a truly mission-driven organization, and it shows in every aspect of the work culture. The team is passionate, collaborative, and genuinely cares about making a difference in the ADHD community. Leadership is supportive and open to new ideas, and there's a strong emphasis on mental well-being and flexibility — which is especially meaningful in this field. Opportunities for growth and learning are encouraged, and everyone's contributions feel valued. The remote setup is well-managed, with regular check-ins and a strong sense of camaraderie despite the distance.

Cons

As with many non-profits or early-stage organizations, resources can be limited at times, and processes are still evolving. But the team is adaptive, and feedback is taken seriously to improve operations.

Pros

Although short, I enjoyed my time here as an intern. I felt like the team and management was extremely personable and cared about their interns at and outside of work. They always tried to assign us tasks that interested us and related to our field of study. This especially applied to the ED, who always provided us what we needed to work efficiently (especially snacks!).

Cons

UA is a small, relatively new charity, so they may not have as many resources as a large corporation for their interns. However, this allows employees to bond on a deeper level with management.
