I have been working at VIPdesk Connect full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work from the comfort of your home is great. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. Bonuses are very good.

    Cons

Do not offer 401K or paid holidays. If you have technical issues, you are very rarely paid for down time. Pay increases are not given. Proper training for new programs is not given.

    Advice to Management

Offer better benefits, annual reviews and on-going training classes.

I worked at VIPdesk Connect full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Growing business with possible potential to improve training by eliminating counterproductive technical issue during training and be motivated to increase the salary of those that serve as the backbone of their company..

    Cons

Too many software issues during training.

I worked at VIPdesk Connect full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good client, hourly rate of pay fairly good. Team philosophy is positive for the most part; opportunity to work remote using both virtual desktop and one's own desktop.

    Cons

Short and insufficient training period, lack of thorough coaching support to help trainee's learn all of the software systems. One out-of-date software application, lack of integration between software programs. No nesting nor sufficient role playing to help new EBA's get started.

    Advice to Management

Offer trainer positions to those who are qualified trainers. Just because one is a good EBA does not mean they are effective trainers for new hires.

    Pros

    Work from home. good hours.

    Cons

The system that is used for Home Advisor is very flawed. It makes the job very difficult.

I worked at VIPdesk Connect full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The leadership of VIPDesk really try hard for their team, and compared to other work at home call center jobs this is definitely one of the best. They do make a serious attempt to listen to the rank and file. When the program I was in ended, they really went all out to find jobs for everyone, and they followed up diligently. There are a few outstanding people in middle management ("Operations Managers") who are a pleasure...

    Cons

Although the job is billed as customer service, the programs I was in were definitely sales. For me the hardest thing was never being able to spend holidays with my family. One day off for Christmas or Thanksgiving doesn't help when one must travel to be with loved ones. There is very little opportunity for advancement; only a handful of supervisor positions are available so very few people ever get promoted. So be prepared...

I worked at VIPdesk Connect full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Remote location, pay was not very good and bonuses were unfair!

    Cons

Lead on team was not professional. BA's were talked about to other BA's negatively. Technology utilized needs to be updated. When technical issues arise it is always the employees fault. Then this time is considered as UNPAID tech time. They have mastered this!! Some team members didn't care so customers were not helped in first call so second call in they would be irate.

    Advice to Management

Care about the work you do instead of gossiping... Lead by example.

    Pros

Great tools for being successful at working from home Wonderful employees Wage is fair Good Training Efficient company Innovative The work is fun Loved working here!

    Cons

No cons really. Must be very self motivated, but if you are, it should be no problem. Hours could be better (but could be worse); know your available hours and make sure you can commit.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing a great job!! The management on my team were wonderful, approachable, and knowledgeable (as were other employees). They have a lot of companies that contract with VIP. For the company I was working for, there was a heavy interest in clients asking about handbags. While I feel like the training and resources were great for the other venues this company offered, it was lacking in one of the most important...
