I have been working at Vaco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

VACO strives to find the best fit for consultants and projects. Being a consultant provides a good opportunity to learn about companies and add new skills or industry knowledge. I have been a consultant with VACO since 2011 and now have been exclusively VACO since 2013. Over the last four years the VACO team has found me assignments that give me the chance to resolve clients critical needs while gaining insight into varied industries and business solution software.

    Cons

Consulting is not for those who are not self motivated or fearful of being independent. Clients on projects look for the consultant to be a trusted business partner who can provide a solution by rolling up their sleeves and diving in to get results. You will always walk into a problem, need to figure it out on your own with little monitoring. Projects will frequently require combining basic accounting tasks while at the same time providing senior level answers and solutions.

    Advice to Management

Continue providing the existing supportive environment and benefits to consultants.

    Cons

Not much information giving as to the status of being hired on full time with the company. So you can't really make long term plans because you don't know when your time is up

I worked at Vaco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone was very friendly, and there for different reasons but all in all a wholesome team. I was happy to know my coworkers from other teams in thanks to the open office environment. I feel that there was also a kind of camaraderie knowing we were contract workers together at Google. It was nice to be able to access most of the perks that Google allowed too.
It was my first job out of college so I was a bit worried but my team was very helpful, very patient, and understood where I was coming from. I couldn't have asked for a better team.
I worked hard, and for my efforts I got a small raise before the end of one year!

    Cons

Being a contract worker at a larger organization has an interesting nuance that I can't quite put my finger on. There's almost a sense of superiority for full-timers, though it is very subtle. However, this is not the case for full-timer employees I got to know!

    Advice to Management

    none comes to mind
