      Pros

      The people are nice, the work environment is decent. Keep everything clean and do your job well, and there will be no problems.

      Cons

      The hours (at least for me) were not the best, and the location wasn't great, but what place is, really?

      Very flexible as a part time position, online training was thorough.

      Cons

      Hardly any chance for responsibility or progression as a part time assistant.

        I worked at Vintage Inns part-time for more than 2 years

        Pros

        They were pretty flexible with my hours considering I am also a student, but that was it.

        Cons

        This is a completely unorganised business, they are biased, the kitchen has a completely bad attitude towards work and each other, and are extremely disrespectful towards each other and the customers.

        Advice to Management

        I would advise them to hire fair managers. I worked as the bartender, always showed to work on time, worked every hour they needed, stayed over time and offered help as a chef when they were in need. However, they fired me based on the fact that I could not help out in the kitchen for a weekend on short notice because I had a surprise trip to visit my fiancé after a few months of not seeing her. No one had warned me beforehand...

        The tips are great and customers mostly nice

        Cons

        No communication between employee and employer. The manager doesn't put the rota so is available to people

        Advice to Management

        Train employees better and make rota more accessible not just in the bar.

        Pros

        Lovely people, flexible working hours. Great for a part time job whilst studying. I really enjoyed my time working for them as a company.

        Cons

        Late nights, pub was in the middle of know where so late night driving home. Shifts work can be quite tiring.

        Advice to Management

        Always have a consistent manager, not governed by just an area manager and waitresses. The pub was changing hands just after I got the job and it wasn't run properly for a few months.

        I worked at Vintage Inns

        Pros

        Easy if you've been in the industry for over a year. Some ok benefits but not many.

        Cons

        Management not understanding Health and Safety, deplaodated FOH and BOH. 20 minute break when working 8+ hours. Staff are always at each others throats, no sense of team work.

        Advice to Management

        Give your staff better pay and stop telling lies to staff.
