    Pros

A growing company that is well positioned for growth within several verticals. Software is continuously being developed and updated.

Nice and hard working employees who put in the effort needed.

    Cons

Needs a little better communication from management about the exciting prospects of the company.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the hard work.

    Pros

This is a company that has unlimited potential for those who enjoy rolling up their sleeves and pushing yourself. If you have startup experience and thrive on challenging yourself, its a great environment. Great autonomy and benefits. Open communications. Great employee diversity and learning opportunity.

    Cons

Not an environment for the complacent or weak. Have to be a trailblazer!

    Advice to Management

    Continue listening to the market.

    Pros

Competent and friendly employees overall, pleasant enough work situation. I do not in general regret my time there, but that is likely because I successfully transitioned away.

    Cons

Leadership was very poor. Vision was largely nonexistent and to the extent it existed was poorly communicated to employees. Employee anxiety as a result (well justified given waves of layoffs).

    Advice to Management

The management need to have agreed to a central vision and communicated clearly and consistently. Employees are also stakeholders and deserve the same care as investors.

    Pros

I loved my summer internship with VirtualWorks because they engaged me like no other company has before. Even though I was only an intern, I was invited to several sales meetings, team meetings, and various events. This was incredible as I learned more during my time with VirtualWorks than a full semester at school. The team was very hands on and management was very respectful to everyone as they wanted to empower every employee and intern.

    Cons

None that I could think of.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and stay true to the company's core values and vision!

I worked at Virtualworks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a very fun laid-back environment. Awesome start up environment with flexible hours and company lunches. Opportunities for travel. I loved the product and wish I had it at my current company

    Cons

Small amount of sales. Lack of long-term direction. People were hired and fired within five days because of said Change in direction. Not the place for a long term career.

    Advice to Management

Pick a strategy and stick to it or give up on your investment.

    Pros

Lots of freedom in defining own tasks and activities. Very generous salary levels. Flexible work hours and relaxed reporting requirements. Great place for underachievers.

    Cons

Vision, culture and Leadership is bad or missing. People had too much time to gossip or point fingers.

    Advice to Management

Hire A+ people and create a lasting vision

    Pros

Awesome engineering department from top to bottom. I have never worked in a more relaxed and creative environment. The employees are what drives this company.

    Cons

Lack of quality Marketing and Advertising leadership leads to constant changes in direction. The turnover in those departments has been constant and causes a lack of faith in leadership as a whole.

    Pros

    Market opportunity, original leadership team

    Cons

Ability to execute with consistency. Strong leaders flee this Nordic ship. Early Citrix team was valuable, but they have left.

    Advice to Management

Hire a US CEO, bring on strong US based board members with more financial interest in the success of the company.
