Lab Manager (LR) is terrible. The company can find better for cheaper.
Pros
The company and employees as a whole is a great place. Some people are cool. Some people make you question who do they hire and then seeing the management of the lab then you will understand.
Cons
We were acquired from Boston scientific into Vizia. Leadership in the company is a major concern (LR) In my experience, management was often unavailable during high-pressure situations, leaving staff without the support needed to manage workload effectively on their own. This created unnecessary stress and made day-to-day operations more difficult than they needed to be. Communication and transparency were also lacking. Changes to benefits, including PTO and bonus structures, were not clearly communicated in advance. Expectations were set throughout the year that were later not met, which led to frustration and a breakdown of trust among employees. There was a noticeable lack of advocacy for staff from the leadership. Employee concerns did not appear to be taken seriously, and decisions often felt one-sided, with little consideration for the impact on the lab team. Workplace culture could be great but challenging. Opportunities for advancement did not always seem consistent or clearly tied to performance, which made growth within the company feel impossible. This contributed to low morale and, in some areas like data entry, higher turnover. There is one person on the data entry team that makes it hard for the whole team (LH) Some teams were made up of strong, supportive individuals, but inconsistent management of team dynamics made certain departments harder to work in than others.
