Pros

Really kind and nice coworkers Newly updated systems

Cons

The pay is not worth it, I cannot even afford to live in the area that I work, and it is outside of the city of Chicago You get to wear multiple hats without the compensation Good luck getting compliance not overloading you with exceptions when you are not the officer on the account or customer profile. I've had to fix so many other people's exceptions that were just dropped on me for fixing one unrelated requirement in the customer's profile. None of the other departments on the backend can reach out to customers for corrections for some undisclosed reason, that's up to us. HQ has been shredding returned mail; now it is our duty to do what the mail room couldn't be bothered to, call the customers and fix their addresses in the system. If they even bother to respond. Don't worry about being reminded that you aren't bringing in enough money due to not meeting the goals. Also, be prepared to constantly find ways to get the customers to apply for loans, sign up for credit cards, or even open even more checking and savings accounts. Be ready to have the customer's actions count against your scorecard if they do not, use their debit card, sign up for e-statements, enroll in online banking, set up direct deposit, or even add or withdraw funds. It may be the customer's account and choice, but it will greatly determine your score, and management will be sure to not let you forget. Want to transfer to a new position if you are clearly struggling in your current one that might not be a proper fit? Score at least a 3/5 on your employee review. If not? Too bad, just stay in the same position, slowly growing to despise your place of work until you get better or find something better. Do you want to go back for your college degree but cannot afford to do so because just living on the bare necessities eats up 87.5% of your paycheck? Too bad! Get a second job then come into work exhausted and be reminded weekly of where your bread and butter are and that this job that doesn't pay you enough without having to take on a second is the reason you are able to live. Don't say anything about being stressed constantly because due to lack of pay. There will be no help offered.
