I worked at WorkCare (More than a year)

    Pros

The cons far outweigh the pros. I cannot even list one.

    Cons

I worked at WorkCare for a year and a half. WorkCare does not value their employees, and they are extremely disrespectful towards them. Our manager cut us down every chance possible, and HR did not intervene even after multiple complaints. It was an extremely toxic environment, they tolerated discrimination, disrespect and sexual harassment.

    Advice to Management

Please start valuing your employees, they're your greatest asset.

I worked at WorkCare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are awesome. It is a great place to start out. You do not need any experience to get yourself in the door.

    Cons

Promotions are far and few between. It is family owned so favoritism is very present throughout the entire company.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention so the good ones don't fall through the cracks.

I worked at WorkCare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The right tools were supplied for the job... a computer software program for patient tracking, and supplies were available for the clinic.

    Cons

The software training was inconsistent. Received verbal training on software program in twenty to thirty minute increments, without written documentation for future reference.

    Advice to Management

Ensure adequate training with written documentation on all software programs.

I worked at WorkCare full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people you deal with are great. There is always something new. Challenging yet rewarding. Always something valuable to learn.

    Cons

There are never enough sales to support needed revenue. You'll never get rich here. We were always understaffed and over allocated.

    Advice to Management

Avoid always putting all your eggs in one basket. Consider updating the business model.

I worked at WorkCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This review is for the Anaheim office only, and more about the benefits offered to you
Your experience here will vary on what department you get hired into

9/80 schedule for most employees, depending on what department you go to
    8/40 for salary
No sick time - you have to use your vacation time to take a sick day
    401k, dental, vision, medical
Times you come into work are a little flexible, 630a, 7a, 730a, 8a, works for people with kids
Quarterly bonus - Amount depends on how well the company did, but how much you get depends on your attendance and performance
Hourly employees have to clock in and out with an online system, including lunch
Some room for growth but not much, here's an example: you can go from file clerk to Account Manager (with two more steps in between)
I don't pay attention to some of the titles they use here - sometimes it makes no sense
In terms of getting an annual raise, they obviously don't give you one for cost of living/inflation. Always ask for one and prove why you should get it - otherwise you will be making the same amount you did in 2012 as you will be in 2020, and that dollar you made in 2012 would be worth .50 in 2020

The location is very convenient for running errands, walkable distance to many restaurants, Vons, banks - chase, wells fargo, BofA, police station across the street, library, museum, farmers market on Thursdays, two parks nearby, you can park in the parking structure and your car will not get hot when you leave from work

    Cons

    Company culture is questionable:
Be careful in who you decide to talk to
Hanging out in the break room can be weird awkward and silent
I did not find it to be a friendly environment you can even call it clickish
If you can't work with a good group of people what do you do?

    Pros

Location is close to major freeways and disnelyand.

    Cons

Dead end job. No room for growth or advancement.

    Advice to Management

This company is unorganized. You need to get management on the same page and your employees or this company is going nowhere FAST.

    I worked at WorkCare full-time

    Pros

Have many positions open for 2% that can multitask.

    Cons

Their expectations for individuals to multi-task in not realistic. Young unexperienced management without proper training. Huge turnover do to multi-tasking expectations and time restraints. Employees mistakes because asked to multi-task which increases mistakes by 40%. Say it will take 4-6 months, give you less than 2 weeks. Very poor training. No practice with other new hires, no script for assessment questions, poor documentation to refer back to. (Patient follow-up's) Work with a clock ticking all day for company to check if your are working too slow or talk a litle longer to gather information.

    Advice to Management

New training program with assessment questions in writing. Ability to practice calls with other new employees. Realize only 2% of people can multi-task so your expectations are unrealistic!!! Creates 40% more errors. Management in training calls for basic training. i.e. Communication Give employees at least 4 months to have skills, but NOT multi-tasking.
