Hands on experience
Supportive/caring team
Flexible scheduling
Cons
I'm aware that shelters are under strict budgets, but the pay is just not representative of the work being done. It is a physically intensive, on your feet for hours type job. For the most part, employees who come to Wright Way want to do their best by the animals & work their hardest on the floor, so they should be compensated as such.
I have never seen a group so passionate about animals and they really do care about every animal that comes in there. Its clean and everyone is very kind
Cons
Working here takes teamwork and every worker has to hold up their end. I found myself consistently picking up other people's slack and I felt like no one even noticed.
