I worked at ZipEdTech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    They had some great talent.

    Cons

The company is out of business because the owner was a criminal and the CEO was a complete imbecile. Between the two of them, they squandered all the great talent they had around them. Really Sad.

    Advice to Management

    Leave the country.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at ZipEdTech full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

None at tall, none worth writing about. Very alarming when favoritism is obvious. Some supervisors were very dedicated but most were not

    Cons

Owner was not motivated to help employees. Management had right intentions but never placed employees first. Money and number driven.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on employees

    Cons

Service offerings are behind the times. Company epitomizes micro management. High employee turnover. Ever changing direction.

    Cons

    Everything from A-Z
    No loyalty
    No investment in employees
    No respect for employees
    No business sense
    No sales or marketing sense
actually NO on anything it takes to run a business

    Advice to Management

too late for them to learn, nor are they willing
just having the money to run the business is not enough

I worked at ZipEdTech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most of the other employees are nice.

    Cons

Very poor/no benefits, do not start to accrue vacation time until a full year of employment, no 401k, poor health insurance options. Ownership requires all employees, even salaried, to clock in and out, never felt like they trusted any of its employees. Ownership did not seem open to listen to employees ideas or advice in regards to the company or the culture. Company does not seem to have a concrete mission objective & struggles to find a source of revenue in the tech world, likely will not last much longer.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees

I have been working at ZipEdTech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The coworkers. That is the only pro.

    Cons

Horrible benefits. Vacation doesn't start accruing until after a year of employment. No 401K.
Owner of the company, who also happens to own ICDC College, brought her brother on board and made him the CEO. Her brother, who by the way, is a urologist, has no business savvy or emotional intelligence. He comes into the office two times a week around 5PM and makes everyone stay until 7-8PM and report to him their "projects", which is a complete waste of time considering that they send him weekly reports anyway.

Both of them treat employees like children who need to be micromanaged.
Both of them have no idea what is going on in their company and what the employees say about them behind closed doors.
Both of them lie to employees telling everyone the company is in good shape yet have laid off dozens of employees within the last 4 months.

The company has no direction and is constantly "changing course" and trying new initiatives that have no hope of generating any income.

Worst working environment and employee morale I've ever seen.

Stay away from this place! It is not worth the stress and sleepless nights.

Everyone is currently looking for new jobs and it's only a matter of time until they lose us all.

    Advice to Management

There's no point in giving advice because they don't listen. You don't treat employees well or value them at all yet expect them to perform miracles for you? Wake up.

    Pros

Cool people work here. Everbody's nice.

    Cons

As mentioned before, the company is run like the "Russian Mafia." Everything is based off fear, and the company shows little to no appreciation for it's employees. If you have to miss 3 hours to go to the doctor, that's 3 hours off your paycheck, and there's no way you can make them up, since your capped off after 6pm.

    Advice to Management

    Liquidate this company already
