I have been working at immixGroup full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Co workers are great and parking is free

    Cons

Since immixGroup was bought by Arrow Electronics nearly two years ago, the norm has been poor decision making and cutbacks. "Restructuring"(lay offs) coupled with uncertainty and poor management have lowered morale and continue to fuel turnover. You're hired for one job, but are expected to do two: your Arrow job and your immixGroup job. If anyone leaves our team, we're left to pick up the pieces and are lucky if we get approval for a backfill.

    Advice to Management

    - Be transparent about goals, objectives & what's ahead
    - Bring back flex Fridays
    - Listen to your teams and give them the resources they need to get the job done well
    - Get approval on backfills sooner

  3. "Laid back environment that is extremely casual and chill. Work is easy but has long hours. The manager is knowledgeable"

    Pros

Great people in a great city. The company is owned by a larger company which is able to help finance its growth.

    Cons

Not many. It doesn't appear to offer too much vertical movement.

    Pros

I have been working at immixGroup full-time

    Pros

Great place to start a career, excellent training and learning opportunity, resume builder, more advancement options available since acquisition. It is a really fun group and they are interested and committed to being a great place to work. Leaders are committed to mentorship. There is constant effort to improve and give voice to the employees - this is so important because there will always be challenges even in the best companies. Free soda, coffee, beautiful office and conference rooms, free parking, professional environment.

    Cons

Some high level positions and structure exceptions have been made that are very confusing. It seems like these decisions are made to benefit specific leaders but the reasons are not clear. "hush hush" decisions can sometimes make for workplace drama and conspiracy theories.

    Advice to Management

Steer clear of cronie mentality and acknowledge controversial decisions. Also, consider a different office space that is less terrible traffic-wise.

I have been working at immixGroup full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great learning experience - great place to get started

    Cons

There are one or two leaders that are never around for their teams

    Advice to Management

Make sure to hold people accountable that are not here. A small group of leaders are trying to make up for teleworking managers and supervisors that are not committed to the rest of the company and criticize other leaders from afar - while the ones criticizing are not even in the office or driving the business. Not motivating.Things have changed so much from when I joined the company with the Top Place to work program. That was something special and has been destroyed.
