    Pros

Great build and networking. Building amazing relationships. Amazing place to work and you are a part of a family that wants to succeed.

    Cons

A lot of work to be done. You are the Owner of your business. A very big territory with multiple retailers to balance.

    Advice to Management

    Organize and divide the Work.

    I worked at philosophy part-time

    Pros

Treated their full time associates well. Mid level managers where reasonably compensated for the greater Phoenix Area

    Cons

Relied heavily on temporary associates. Made it more a challenge to manage as some temps had been there up 4 years.

    Advice to Management

Commit to more full time associates. The added cost will be quickly recouped from increased productivity due to a huge positive shift in morale.

    Pros

It's a culture you would like to be apart of. it did change though once COTY came in and bought the company.

    Cons

Once COTY bought the company things changed. Culture, feeling and everyone was on edge, when they were going to lose their jobs. I luckily left soon after they were bought

    Advice to Management

I am not sure I have any advice. Such large company not sure it really matters.

    I worked at philosophy part-time

    Pros

It was fun going into all of the stores to help them with their day to day business is as a special guest. The products are great and a very reasonable price. They sell themselves and make great gifts that everyone likes.

The bath products are simply amazing and smell delicious. The purity cleansers are very nice and clean the skin well. They have something for all skin types. If you understand basic skincare and can approach people you will do well.

The sales per hour goals were reasonable, even in the summer time. It was easy to sell during the holiday season.

Sales incentives were fun too. If you sold so many of a focus product, than you could earn one for yourself.

    Cons

The communication was all over the place. The training was minimal. One store could be over an hour away for working a 4 or 5 hour shift.

Some stores welcomed freelance staff more than others. If it was your fist time in a door you did not know what you were walking into. Not all stores of the same name are operated in the same way.

The schedule can change quickly. If this is not a primary job or a fun job plan on about 3-19 hours per week. It depends on where the managers need you and what events are going on at the store.

Some retailers do not get enough stock of the featured deal or GWPs. The customers get frustrated. Work with the store management or counter management to get the needed information regarding on hands. Communicate the stock concerns to your Territory Manager.

Some stores were horribly understaffed and many customers would ask for help with things we did not know anything about. It was nice to be able to say I am a guest in the store with Philosophy.

If you are sales and product savvy enough you could help in other lines and link sale back to philosophy so you could meet your goals.

    Advice to Management

Spend a little time with the freelancers so they have an in depth understanding of how truly amazing this product line is.

Communicate schedule changes beforehand. Send freelance in with little gift perks to help drive sales.

Overall, I had a good experience working for them because of my open selling experience and skincare background.
