Almac Group Ranked Second in Belfast Telegraph’s “Businesses making the largest contribution to incomes” Table Craigavon based Almac Group, the global contract pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organisation, is honoured to take the number two spot in this year’s Belfast Telegraph “Businesses making the largest contribution to incomes” table. In addition, in a table listing Northern Ireland’s “Top 100 Companies” the company has moved up eight positions to number eleven. The table ranks the most successful Northern Ireland-registered companies in order of pre-tax profits and has been described as a “timely reminder of the ongoing strength and diversity of our economy”. Company accounts from across Northern Ireland were analysed by top economist John Simpson to create the list and inevitably pre-date Covid-19.
Almac McKervey Award Presented for Excellence in Chemistry Almac Group, the global contract pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organisation, has today announced this year’s recipient of the ‘Almac McKervey Award for Excellence in Organic Chemistry’. The award, established in 2018 as a commemoration to the life and work of one of Ireland’s most distinguished scientists, Professor Tony McKervey, who passed away in June 2017, was made to Queen’s University Belfast MChem in Medicinal Chemistry student, Sinead McCann.
