AHS has been awarded a contract by the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Division of Employment Security (DES) to provide call center services. Through this contract, AHS will provide a robust Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution combined with a suite of omnichannel services with a focus on serving applicant and claimants. Our experience prepares us well to provide DES with talented, experienced, and trained staff to support callers. The contract term is one year with two optional one year renewals. “With an extensive call center background, AHS is well-equipped to provide DES with these essential services. Automated Health Systems announced a new partnership with the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Medicaid and Medical Assistance to provide health benefits manager services to the Delaware Medicaid and Delaware Healthy Children Programs. Starting on July 1, 2019, AHS enrollment and technical support teams began providing direct assistance to members before and after enrollment into the managed care organization of their choice, including benefit education and non-biased program assistance. Pittsburgh-based Automated Health Systems (AHS) announced today that it has been nominated for prestigious awards in two categories by the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association (PHRA). Included in the PHRA’s annual Engaging Pittsburgh Awards for 2019, AHS was selected in the Talent, Recruitment & Retention category for its award-winning Corporate Health Challenge program. The initiative focuses on employee good health and nutrition through a vigorous program of exercise and dietary counseling. In addition, Kimberly Conner, Executive Senior Vice President of Human Resources at AHS was nominated as Leader Of The Year in recognition of her outstanding corporate leadership, and nearly three decades of service to the company and its employees.
The State of Rhode Island has expanded its partnership with AHS! As an addendum of the HealthSource RI contract, AHS is assisting Rhode Islanders that were receiving Medicare Medicaid coverage and long term services and support through the Neighborhood UNITY program and transitioned to Medicaid Fee for Service. This is an important initiative as part of the Governor’s FY19 budget. The Rhody Health Options (RHO) Transitional Call Center provides customer service, information, assistance, education, and support to customers seeking to access care management, pharmacy, and authorizations. AHS understands the importance of this transition and providing as much information as possible to maintain access to care. We are grateful for the opportunity to grow our partnership and expand our capabilities to service Rhode Islanders.

This certification demonstrates that we have successfully completed the intensive review and accreditation process, and our processes and performance align with URAC’s rigorous, evidence-based standards for quality, accountability and service. Our pursuit of URAC Health Call Center Accreditation is a testament to our dedication to quality management principles and our commitment to establishing an infrastructure that meets defined standards for staff training, call center performance, monitoring and much more. Taking place annually throughout the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month aims to raise awareness about the disease and raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. Each year, AHS celebrates with our Survivors by holding a breakfast to promote awareness, remember those we have lost and give employees an opportunity to help continue the fight against breast cancer. Customer Service Week is an international celebration of the importance of customer service and of the people who serve and support customers on a daily basis. In 1992 the U.S. Congress proclaimed Customer Service Week a nationally recognized event, celebrated annually during the first full week in October. Kimberly Conner, Executive Senior Vice President of Human Resources, and her team lead the annual celebration at Automated Health Systems. “At AHS, customer service is at the core of everything we do. Regardless if we are speaking with customers, clients, or even each other, we provide the same level of high quality service to everyone.” This year, the theme for Customer Service Week is “Exceeding Expectations Every Day.” According to Ms. Conner, “People remember a good customer service experience. Our number one goal is to exceed our customer’s expectation of service letting them know that we truly care about them and their needs.”
