A jolly time was had by all on Thursday, Nov. 30 as Santa and his elves stopped by our BISSELL Business Ventures (BBV) office to visit with Associates and their families. There were holiday crafts, snacks and activities for kids to enjoy, family pictures with Santa and much more!
BISSELL Associates had a great time participating in this year's Junior Achievement Bowling for Financial Literacy fundraiser! The theme of the year: GAMING! The bowling teams dressed to impress and got in the spirit by dressing up as some favorite games and characters.

Yesterday evening, BISSELL hosted the 57th Golden Pin Dinner. This is an event honoring tenured Associates and retirees. Thank you to everyone who came out for the event and all our great volunteers!

Some BISSELL Associates spent their time on Friday, September 15th volunteering for United Way's Day of Caring! Volunteers spent their morning at a few different locations including Boys and Girls Club of Grand Rapids, Family Promise and the Comprehensive Therapy Center. We were able to accomplish a huge amount of work around our city that will positively impact many people. Thanks to our Associates for so clearly living out our core value of Social Responsibility. We appreciate your time and strong support of the community where we work and live!
On Friday, August 18th the ADC opened its doors with a warm BISSELL welcome to those Associates that were able to bring their children to work for the morning. BISSELL Family Day encourages families to come into the work place and experience how BISSELL in Asia operates – a great chance for children to get to experience what mom or dad does during the working week. The team's first event was a huge success with over 50 family members attending and participating in tours and interesting activities. The labs benefited from a surge in resources with many new ‘technicians’ eager to break eggs, make mess and use our products to clean it all up.
Associates gathered outside of our Grand Rapids office on Monday to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse using special solar glasses and cardboard projectors. Although Grand Rapids is outside the path of totality (where the sun is completely covered by the moon), the sun was expected to be 75% - 85% covered during the peak of the eclipse. The next eclipse expected in the U.S. will be in April 2024, according to NASA.
