Plant to begin commercial production by 2025 Bechtel was awarded the front-end engineering design (FEED) for Mitra Chem’s commercial cathode manufacturing facility. The new facility will produce Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cathodes on commercial scale by 2025, enabling broad use of iron-based batteries in EVs and energy storage capacity produced in the United States.

Shell, EGAS and Petronas award Idku Energy Hub project FEED to Bechtel-led coalition Decarbonizing Egypt’s facilities for a net-zero future Shell Egypt, EGAS and Petronas have awarded a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract to a Bechtel-led coalition that includes Enppi and Petrojet to study a proposed unified power system between the onshore gas processing plant of the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Egypt and the Egyptian LNG export terminal (ELNG) in Idku, east of Alexandria.
Bechtel and Cumulus: Increasing productivity through digital solutions Pennsylvania Chemicals project utilizes digital tool to dramatically reduce leak rates Cumulus Digital Systems, a global technology platform enabling connected work, today announced a successful partnership with Bechtel to deploy a bolted joint management system at scale. In addition to enforcing engineering controls and improving productivity, the deployment also successfully reduced the bolted connection leak rate to 0.1 percent, a 100 times reduction compared to the industry average of 10 percent.

Bechtel wins work on Australian pumped hydro facility to power more than a quarter of a million homes Big-T will produce and store renewable energy and support the transition from coal BE Power and GE Renewable Energy have selected Bechtel to support the planning for a new pumped storage hydro energy facility named Big-T at Lake Cressbrook in southeast Queensland, Australia. The project will support the transition of Australia’s baseload of electricity away from its aging coal generation power plants and it will contribute to the Queensland Government’s target of 50% renewable energy generation by 2030.
