At the end of 2019 we were front runners in reducing returns by introducing our Fair Use policy, which means we can pause customers that have an extreme return behaviour and it has already had a large effect on our business. By enforcing the policy during 2021, we have saved 900,000 “unnecessary” packages being shipped. Of these 430,000 would have been returned to us, had we not paused customers. This is equivalent to saving 300 truckloads, which helps our carbon footprint. Additionally, the policy has had an impact on our Customer Service, freeing up time that was previously spent handling cases from these customers, which can now be spent on further improving the service for our other customers. Another benefit of the Fair Use policy is that there are more seasonal items and sizes available for customers, which enhances the customer experience when shopping at our websites. Therefore, it has been a business-wise decision to pause customers that repeatedly exploit our high levels of free shipping and returns at the expense of our business, other customers, and the environment.
Boozt’s B Corp journey 🌍 In our work to become B-Corp certified we set ourselves a goal to continuously improve employee engagement through feedback and dialogue to reach top tier employee engagement benchmarked against our sector by 2021. Through a monthly employee survey called Peakon, we are happy to have reached an eNPS of 50 which place us in the top 10 of our industry. The B-Corp certification is a holistic assessment, focusing on a company’s entire social and environmental impact, and to maintain the certification a company must update and verify their score every 3 years. To get certified a company must reach a score of 80 or above as well as pass B Lab’s risk review. As a part of our Care-For sustainability strategy and the goals that we have set for ourselves, becoming B-Corp by 2023 is one of our most important. This means that we are working towards joining a global community of companies across industries focused on using their business as a force for good, balancing profit and purpose. Because we care for the change we want to see.

Why a good eNPS is important In short, a good eNPS is important, because it means your employees are satisfied with their workplace. Globally, eNPS is recognised as a standard method to measure employees satisfaction. It stands for employee Net Promoter Score and originates from NPS, Net Promoter Score, the difference between the two being the survey audience. Where NPS measures results from customers, eNPS measures the employees willingness to recommend the employer to others, often supplemented with additional questions to help provide concrete actions to work with. eNPS scores range from -100 to 100, and usually a score of 20 is recognised as a good score. Therefore, we are very proud at Boozt of our eNPS score of 50 coming out of 2021, which puts us in the top 10 in the consumer industry. We will continue to send out our employee survey, Peakon, every month to make sure we provide a good work environment for our employees and keep up the employee satisfaction.
