Last week, Brady’s Emerging Professionals group wrapped up its first official year in Milwaukee with several team-building and networking activities. Along with a rock-paper-scissors tournament and tug-of-war, members of the group heard professional development advice from Brien Christopherson, Vice President of R&D.
Earlier this week, Brady employees in Milwaukee joined leadership for a midweek break to enjoy some summer sunshine with a frozen treat.
Brady Corporation continues to partner with the Marquette University 707 Hub on the Brewed Ideas Challenge. Sponsored by the Brady Foundation, the Brewed Ideas Challenge encourages student teams from Marquette to submit innovative ideas with a business or social venture focus. Teams are mentored by a Brady professional to refine and perfect their ideas, and finalists then present to a panel of judges, which includes Brady leadership. Winning teams take away cash prizes provided by the Brady Foundation to further pursue their ideas. “I love this event because it is a rare opportunity for students to be able to participate in a real world business process where they need to assess financial viability, market acceptance, technical risks, and other elements of building a business case,” said Katie Milbeck, Brady Innovation Incubator Senior Manager. We're excited to play a role in helping this next generation of leaders bring their innovative ideas to life!
