Our government solutions team was recently awarded the company’s first-ever information technology professional services contract. In partnership with SAIC Crowley will help to modernize the IT management systems of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). Crowley is a 130-year-old logistics company that has a long history of delivering best-in-class technology and data-enabled supply chain solutions to both commercial and government clients. We're excited to announce that we will build and operate a state-of-the-art service operations vessel through CREST Wind, our joint venture with @ESVAGT to provide vessels for offshore wind installations. Under a long-term charter with Siemen Gamesa Renewable Energy, Crowley will manage and crew the U.S.-built SOV to support operations on the Dominion Energy Coastal Virginia Wind project to help deliver more sustainable, clean energy for America.
U.S. Merchant Marine Academy cadets Layne Anderson, Bryanne Buchanan-Cummings, Caroline Opager and Isaiah Sera have been awarded the Thomas B. Crowley Sr. Memorial scholarships. Each cadet exemplifies Crowley’s values through their exemplary service at sea, education and extracurricular commitments. Since 1984, Crowley has committed more than $3 million dollars in financial assistance to support the education and development of future maritime leaders studying at maritime academies and other select schools in the U.S. mainland and Alaska, Puerto Rico and Central America.
Crowley's Leadership Development Program (CLDP) capped off the 2022 class with project team presentations followed by a celebratory dinner with participants and Crowley's Senior Leadership Team. It was an opportunity to connect, network and bring innovative solutions to Crowley. Through this development journey, we observed some of our strongest leaders show courage and vulnerability.
We are excited to partner with Salem High School to help develop the offshore wind workforce in Massachusetts and provide valuable on-hands training for future industry leaders. Through our partnership, we will leverage our industry expertise and relationships to support the up-and-coming workforce and create a successful program that will directly impact the community and offshore wind industry.
Crowley team members, families and friends (human and fur!) marched in the 2022 River City Pride Parade in #Jacksonville to celebrate authenticity. Though it was chilly, our team bundled up and had a great time connecting with the community. We're proud of our employee resource group, Stronger Together, as their engagement supports and promotes inclusion.
