We’re so excited to celebrate our very own Catarina Belém for being awarded with the Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Prize by her former university. Catarina completed a BSc and MSc in Information Systems and Computer Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico - University of Lisbon. During this time, she received two research grants and was a teaching assistant for the Advanced Programming course. In 2019, Catarina joined Feedzai as a Data Scientist on the Fairness, Accountability, Transparency, and Ethics (FATE) research group, working on the ethical issues of Artificial Intelligence. She has been focusing on algorithmic fairness and explainability, having co-authored two patent applications on those topics. “I’m truly grateful for having the chance to transition from an amazing academic environment to an enriching and passionate environment at Feedzai,” Catarina shared. “I really feel it is a great complement to my education, and it has allowed me to grow immensely and tackle problems I'm passionate about!” #LifeAtFeedzai
Meet Diogo Parrinha, he's a Lead Software Engineer at Feedzai. "I joined Feedzai in Sept. 2017 as a Software Engineer in Customer Success. Fresh from college with some professional experience, Feedzai provided me with the opportunity to grow and become a Lead Software Engineer. Working in Customer Success is like going to the theatre with first-row tickets. We are directly connected with clients and we get to see and experience the evolution of Feedzai's products, adapting to new realities, or conquering new markets. We often have to increase our technical knowledge in a broad technological stack. This allows us to grow at a fast pace. I have never felt alone.
