Ferrellgas is proud to support communities through the Ferrellgas Century Project, and our partnership with Operation BBQ Relief is a key part of that mission. By powering the propane that fuels their cooking efforts, we help ensure hot meals are available to those affected by natural disasters, as well as first responders.
After the recent ice storms left many in Northern Michigan without power and, in some cases, without access to food, it was a reminder of how much we rely on the strength of community during difficult times. This week, members of our Ferrellgas team partnered with the Bay City Salvation Army to prepare sandwiches for those impacted by the outages and for the linemen working hard to restore power. We’re grateful for the opportunity to lend a hand and support those who support others. For Ferrellgas General Manager Doug H., the Copper Dog 150 in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is more than just a sled dog race. It’s a community, a passion, and a tradition. As a founder and longtime event president, Doug has played a key role in shaping this premier event. This year, he stepped into the role of judge, continuing to support the sport and the mushing community he loves. "It’s so infectious—you know, a lot of people just love dogs, and the mushing community is a special community that we all love. We really connect with them," Doug shared. At Ferrellgas, we take pride in supporting our employees and the communities they’re passionate about. Through sponsorships like this, we celebrate the dedication, camaraderie, and love of tradition that make events like the Copper Dog 150 truly special.
This winter, Ferrellgas driver Chad C. from North Idaho went the extra mile—literally! Traveling to North Carolina and New York, Chad stepped up to support our teams and ensure our customers stayed fueled when they needed it most. "At the end of the day, there was a lot of satisfaction in being able to help some good people who needed it. Taking some of that pressure off them was probably the most satisfying feeling I had from this whole experience," Chad shared. Chad’s dedication shows that delivering propane is about more than just fuel. It’s about showing up for others when it matters most. Thank you, Chad, for your hard work, generosity, and commitment to team support!
Over the weekend, our team joined forces with United Carolinas Cavalry in Minneapolis, NC, to support the local community. We helped distribute Blue Rhino propane tanks to those in need, and it was incredible to see so many come together to make a difference. Giving back is at the heart of what we do at Ferrellgas, and we’re honored to play a role in helping communities when they need it most.
After 38 years of service, Ferrellgas Driver Chris A. from Spokane, WA has retired. We are deeply grateful for his dedication and the commitment of team members like him who make a lasting impact. Join us in congratulating him on a well-earned retirement!
