Observed annually in June, National Safety Month focuses on reducing leading causes of injury and death at work. Our Bradley Road facility hosted their first annual safety day to build safety awareness with their production and operations teams. They reviewed hose pressure training, spill training, tote notching / torqueing, ergonomics and proper lifting techniques, hands on fire extinguisher training and had an active shooter presentation. Safety is our #1 priority at Hydrite and building awareness helps to promote our strong safety culture.

Hydrite partnered with the local United Way to create 284 new parent kits which will be distributed throughout Milwaukee County. We had a great turnout, with helpers from the Bradley Road facility, Tech Center, Milwaukee West and Corporate. Job well done!
Some Cottage Grove employees spent time outdoors cleaning up the local highway, picking up 6 bags of garbage. They'll be continuing this effort again in June & September, so stay tuned for more pictures! Looking to be a part of a team who gives back to their community? Congratulations to Steve Tessen who retired from Hydrite this week. Steve was one of the "Original 5" at the Oshkosh facility. He began his Hydrite career on February 5th, 1981 as the production/warehouse/truck loader person. As additional employees were added, he became the lead and eventually held a supervisory position for the remainder of his 38 years. Steve looks forward to spending time outdoors and can't wait to do a lot of camping. Our warmest wishes to Steve for a happy retirement!
This May we celebrate many of our long-term employees anniversaries. Today is a special day for Courtney Willinger as she celebrates 20 years with us. We're thankful for her dedication to our customers and her strong commitment to the organization. Thank you, Courtney! Courtney shared, "20 years! I am so grateful to be able to celebrate this milestone at Hydrite Chemical! Early in my career here I lost three family members in six months and the support I received from my supervisor all the way up to the owners went above and beyond what I would’ve expected. I knew then that this was a great place to work! Over the years I have been provided many opportunities to grow professionally and am so appreciative to work for a company that has always believed in me. Thank you for a great 20 years Hydrite!"
We're excited to announce the launch of our new HydriPet product line, serving pet food manufacturers.

Happy Earth Day! As a manufacturer, you need to address sustainability for many reasons. Your customers and suppliers want to support companies that are environmentally attentive, government agencies are stricter in environmental compliance, and quite simply, it’s the right thing to do. Making sustainability an important aspect of your day-to-day operations can help secure the future of your business. We are committed to helping you in your sustainability efforts in three major categories. We reduce your chemical, water and energy usage, which makes you money while being “green.”
