In milk processing, byproducts like condensate of whey (COW) water are often discarded. However, the condensate can be treated to remove impurities and reused as feed water for boilers in the same plant. Recovering this valuable resource helps: ✅ Cut discharge costs ✅ Save energy compared to cold make-up water ✅ Support sustainability goals Ready to rethink your COW water disposal? Last week we kicked off our 4th annual Month of Giving! Throughout September, Hydrite employees are encouraged to volunteer with local nonprofits as we work together to make a positive impact in our communities. We’re only one week in and our teams are already making a difference: 🐾 Our Cottage Grove branch joined the Dane County Humane Society to make blankets for the animals. 🍂 Our Waterloo branch supported Retrieving Freedom, Inc by helping with yardwork like mowing, trimming hedges, and cleaning dog kennels to get them ready for fall. 🚜 Our corporate office volunteers spent their afternoon at the Hunger Task Force farm for the first of four “Fridays on the Farm” — a returning series that will continue throughout September. And this is just the beginning! Stay tuned for more updates as our teams continue giving back this month 💙 Learn more about the Hydrite Helps program:

Prone to fouling, brine ultrafiltration (UF) systems can accumulate biofilms during cheese brining. Enzyme washes help break down organic residues without damaging the membrane material. By conducting a soil load mapping (SLM™) analysis, a dairy processing plant was able to reduce their brine UF enzyme wash from every day to once a week. This resulted in $6,800+ in cost savings and 560,000+ gallons in water savings 💧 Maximize optimization and minimize risk with SLM™
