For the third consecutive year, InEight employees supported the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s PurpleStride Phoenix event. Now a virtual event, those who joined the InEight team were encouraged to support PurpleStride on April 10 in whichever way suited them – walking, running, biking or even baking purple pancakes. Thank you to all InEight employees who participated in and donated to this event.
InEight Omaha has a special place in its hearts for Completely KIDS, a non-profit dedicated to educating and empowering kids in their community while providing their families with support for healthy habits and stability. So, when CK launched their Give Your Heart online campaign in February to continue operating programs designed to keep families connected and thriving, employees rallied together to support with their generous giving.
For the second consecutive year, InEight celebrated national Employee Appreciation Day as a way of saying thank you to employees for the work they do on behalf of InEight each day. There were several opportunities for employees to participate in the day’s events, including the organization’s global virtual service awards events - time to recognize employees with growing tenure and thank them for choosing to invest in InEight over the years. Thank you to all InEight employees for making InEight, InEight.
This year, InEight’s annual global tailgate festivities were replaced with virtual celebrations as employees rallied around their favorite sport. Across the globe, employees hopped on social media to share their favorite sports memorabilia, COVID-safe sports activities and mini tailgate parties. They were also encouraged to attend virtual meetings in their favorite sports jerseys during two “Teams Friday” events.
InEight recently held its first Day of Giving where employees rallied together in an outpouring of financial support to bring holiday relief to communities in need. This one day of giving supported employee-selected charities across the United States, Australia and Sri Lanka, along with two international charities. InEight matched employee donations and then went one step further. In lieu of customer gifts this year, they donated the money to these charities on its customers’ behalf. The culmination of these efforts benefitted eight organizations, including Doctors Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, MATES and St. Vincent de Paul Phoenix.
InEight’s annual ugly sweater contest went virtual this year with their Australian and North American teams holding regional contests for the ugliest store-bought and the ugliest homemade sweater, top or outfit. Employee Emcees hosted the events, adding fun commentary along the way, and employee votes ultimately determined the regional winners.
The InEight team in Scottsdale has a long-standing tradition of volunteering at St. Mary’s Food Bank each holiday season. And with St. Mary’s experiencing an increase in demand and decrease in volunteers during these difficult times, their need for support could not have been greater this year. With two separate volunteer events in November, InEight employees packed nearly 3,4000 emergency food boxes, which were distributed to residents in the Phoenix area just in time for Thanksgiving.
Halloween is a beloved holiday at InEight with annual costume contests held across all locations. Despite the team's virtual working environment, there was no question - the show must go on. And it did with the organization's first virtual Halloween contest. Regional contests with winners in each of the five categories - Funniest, Most Likely to Scare the Dog, Best Superhero, Most Original and Best Working Buddies - led up to a global contest highlighting the best of the best. Thanks to all who participated in keeping the tradition alive!
For the second consecutive year, InEight’s employees in Australia rallied to support the Fight Cancer Foundation with Footy Colours Day. Although fundraising activities looked a little different this year, there was no shortage of creative ways to garner employee participation, including encouraging employees to wear their favorite jerseys on the last day of the campaign. With financial support from employees and InEight, the team donated $4,000 – a new company record – to this worthy organization.
Our InEight Omaha team was proud to support Completely KIDS’ recent school supply drive. Although many students are attending virtual classrooms this year, there’s still a strong need for school supplies. Knowing this, Completely KIDS united with other local organizations to launch their annual drive. While a historically in-person shopping event, that didn’t stop our team! They quickly took to online shopping and with their support, over 500 students and 11 different schools were positively impacted.
