Update on Construction of Potomac Yard Facility - Governor Northam deemed construction activity to be an essential service, which means construction on our Potomac Yard site continues and is currently on schedule. Davis Construction, the general contractor, is taking enhanced protection measures including limiting staff on-site to only those necessary. They are also following other social distance and protection protocols, including using online meetings where possible.

IDA, in collaboration with the Director of Operational Test & Evaluation within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, NASA, and the Section on Statistics in Defense and National Security of the American Statistical Association, is hosting the Defense and Aerospace Test and Analysis (DATA) Workshop on April 9-11 at the Waterford in Springfield. DATAWorks is designed to strengthen the community leveraging rigorous statistical approaches to test design and analysis of data in defense and aerospace. This workshop offers a mix of applied problems, unique methodological approaches, and tutorials from leading academics.
IDA's STPI Researcher Susannah Howieson has been named as one of nine incoming Congressional Nuclear Security Fellows for the 2019 calendar year. While on a leave of absence from IDA, she will be serving in the office of Representative Bill Foster (D-IL).
IDA's JAWD adjunct researcher Col. William M. Knarr, Jr. (USA, ret.), will be inducted on April 29 to the Officer Candidate School (OCS) Hall of Fame, Class of 2019. The OCS Hall of Fame was established in 1958 to honor Infantry Officer graduates of the Officer Candidate School Program who distinguished themselves in military or civilian pursuits.
