The winning application of Thanasis and Andreas generates intelligence about the EU market for the benefit of the public sector, companies and citizens, using data science. They successfully analyzed open data of the EU using advanced Machine-learning algorithms for supervised classification, and provided critical insights regarding EU procurements. The results can be used by EU in order to better control funding resources.
