Labcorp is excited to partner with Tigerlily Foundation and Maimah Karmo, Tigerlily founder and CEO, to eradicate barriers for medically underserved communities to be included in clinical trials. As we jointly launch our I Am Included Framework, our hope is that this actionable framework will enable site leaders to leverage the insights and best practices to make clinical trials more inclusive everywhere.
Today, Labcorp introduces our Weight Loss Management portfolio. These convenient testing solutions for individuals and providers will help inform weight loss treatments including lifestyle modifications, bariatric surgery or medications such as GLP-1s.
Labcorp is pleased to announce that we are one of the 53 recipients of the 2023 Princess Royal Training Awards, delivered by the City & Guilds Foundation. Our U.K. Learning and Development team won three Princess Royal Training Awards this year: Robert Ramsay Gosling-Kennedy won the Developing Leaders of Tomorrow award, Michelle Scott won the Yorkshire Women’s Empowerment Network award and Sian Estdale won the Masters in Biopharmaceutical Development award. The #PrincessRoyalTrainingAwards recognize outstanding training and skills development programs proven to have significant positive impact on their business or staff.
In an effort to support the communities we serve in a more sustainable way, the Labcorp University Relations team launched a Swap the Swag campaign at five university career fairs this fall. During the events, 179 donations made to nonprofit organizations who share our vision of improving health and improving lives including Be The Match and Feeding America. Keep an eye out for our team at upcoming career fairs in January.
Labcorp is a long-time supporter of the American Cancer Society (ACS). In alignment with our belief in harnessing science to improve health and improve lives, the Relay for Life movement is dedicated to saving lives from #cancer. This year, Labcorp served as the presenting sponsor for the Relay for Life event in Alamance County, North Carolina. Over 60 team members participated in the relay, contributing donations through employee support and fundraising, as well as serving on the event planning committee. Thank you for your contributions to this important event in our community!
Labcorp is committed to helping future leaders kick off the new school year. Recently, our resource group for Hispanic and Latin employees, HUMANOS, hosted a back-to-school drive for Girls Prep Bronx and a classroom at Martin Luther King, Jr. School in Jersey City, New Jersey. Thanks to our HUMANOS members along with allies, WEN and PRIDE, our women’s empowerment and LGBTQ+ employee resource groups, we were able to collect over 100 backpacks and school supplies for these future leaders and their selfless educators. #HispanicHeritageMonth
