It all started with a technological breakthrough. In the 1990s, as national networks began transitioning from microwave to fiber, our team developed an innovation that would help build the future of connectivity. Ledcor patented a rail‑based plow system that allowed our telecommunications team to work more efficiently without having to shut down busy rail lines. The team transformed a front-end loader into a fiber‑laying machine able to clear and reenter train tracks within minutes. This led to the construction of over 35,000 kilometers of fiber cables, connecting major cities across North America. Today, our telecommunications group continues to build fiber networks across North America. Be part of this innovative legacy.
