More Pros and Cons

  1. "Great company"

I have been working at Ledcor full-time

    Pros

Great company to work; a great deal of autonomy and respect when trust is earned through proven performance and competency.

    Cons

Hands-on supervision of projects. Not the company to work for if you expect to have a staff of people do it for you.

I worked at Ledcor (More than a year)

    Pros

People are very good to work with and open to extra curricular team building activities. If ever in doubt they are willing to help with a second opinion.

    Cons

Expectations are high and work flow needs to remain consistent, or subject review by upper management.
I've found some people that are not so easy to work with, but casual run-in's and collaboration bring them to the table.

    Advice to Management

    Thanks for everything.

    Pros

Company is extremely safety oriented as they want every employee to come home safely. Good benefits and employee training programs.

    Cons

Leadership seemed to be too busy to properly give employees orientation to company procedures and give direction. I was extremely disappointed after I joined Ledcor to find out that all the talk of teamwork was just talk and not reality.

    Pros

Ledcor is a wonderful place to work at, the people are all very friendly and willing to help one another with any problem. Ledcor is efficient at handling any problem effectively and tries to ensure each of the employees are happy. Ledcor is a big company but it feels small because of the constant communication between seperate offices always working together and keeping each office updated.

    Cons

The process of joining Ledcor was long and tedious, nearly pushing me to take another job. I do not have any other complaints about Ledcor because it is a great company to work with.

    Advice to Management

Make sure that you're truly prepared to take an intern after interviews with students rather than stringing the students along for 2 months with little to no effort of communication on what was happening.

    Pros

Good people, providing good service to some good clients.
Hardworking, dedicated people working in many different environments & conditions to get the job done.

    Cons

But, sometimes surveys should be looked into deeper as to why the results are what they are.
Un-qualified, favoritism / cronyism, technical service liabilities, unethical ???, not for me to determine,
but moral suffers for almost all
It's 1 apple, not the bushel.

    Advice to Management

Look in the field. Maybe some more research is warranted to improve moral & results.
Or just look the other way until next year .....
Almost forgot. WorkLife improvements would go a long ways for Ledcors dedicated employees.
