Congratulations to our recent graduates of Northwest Hospital’s Nurse Residency program. We are so proud of the eight grads who completed the Summer 22 cohort. The program is designed for any new nurse who has less than one year of clinical experience. The twelve-month program offers mentorship to assist with their knowledge-based skills and helps to steer each nurse toward success. The graduates are now RN1s and have the option to join the clinical ladder and become more involved on their units.
LifeBridge Health ExpressCare Urgent Center’s new partnership with The Catholic High School of Baltimore makes them the first Catholic high school for young women to offer a STEM Program. This partnership has given rising high school seniors in the STEM biomed concentration to shadow nurse practitioners, physicians' assistants and radiographers across the area.
Last week, nearly 300 team members enjoyed a night at Camden Yards for Tuesday night’s O’s vs. Dodger game to celebrate Northwest Hospital’s 60th anniversary! Our generous board members helped to create this special evening allowing team members to enjoy the game, share food, laughs and fond memories of our hospital. Making the evening even more special, The Orioles presented Northwest Hospital with one of the ceremonial balls from the game.

An ICU nurse at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore is one of five nurses nationwide featured in a national campaign to honor their selfless work. The compassionate care of nurses is being honored in a new national campaign called "Canvases of Care," presented in partnership with GE HealthCare and artist Timo Kamura to represent in paintbrush strokes the hours of care provided by exceptional nurses. LifeBridge Health's Casey Green has provided 22,064 hours of care and is the 85th nurse in history to receive all five emergency nursing certifications.
