Marcum LLP, one of the nation’s largest accounting and advisory firms, has launched AskMarcum.ai, a tool powered by Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, which the Firm uses to improve productivity and efficiency for its team members. Developed by Marcum Technology’s innovation incubator, Marcum Labs, this new tool is embedded within Microsoft Teams to be used exclusively by firm employees. The integration with Teams is a defining feature of AskMarcum.ai. Few accounting firms have embedded a custom generative AI interface into the platform, which extends its accessibility and functionality as a secure AI tool for Marcum employees to use at their desks and on mobile devices. This approach combines a user-friendly interface with the power of AskMarcum.ai and positions the new tool within the Firm’s existing day-to-day workflow. The Firm expects AskMarcum.ai to enhance communication, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving.
Marcum LLP has proudly presented a check of $85,000 to the beneficiaries of the 2023 Marcum Workplace Challenge. This contribution marks another successful year of the annual charity run-walk event held at Jones Beach, an initiative that rallies businesses, government agencies, and community members around several nonprofits and charities. This year’s challenge, held on July 25th, attracted thousands of participants. The event successfully raised funds to support local charities and surpassed last year’s donation. Beneficiaries include the Long Island Children’s Museum, the Children’s Medical Fund of New York, Long Island Cares – The Harry Chapin Food Bank, and the Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Each organization plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life and welfare in Long Island and beyond. Marcum LLP is proud to announce that on November 22, all Marcum, Marcum Technology, and Marcum Search offices will be closed for the Firm’s annual Day of Service. This closure allows the Firm’s 4100 partners and associates to actively participate in volunteer activities with local charities, fully supported by Marcum as a paid Philanthropy Day. This year’s Marcum Day of Service extends its reach to approximately 100 nonprofit organizations nationwide.
