Yesterday, Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Editor-In-Chief, Mindy Henderson, also an MDA Advocate, attended a ceremony at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) in Texas. Mindy was there alongside Transportation Security Administration (TSA) leadership to recognize two officers with Federal TSA Challenge Coins. These two agents got her through security quickly and with dignity in September as she was on her way to MDA Hill Day to speak with lawmakers for inclusion for people with disabilities in the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization. She had the honor of presenting Jose Bonilla (pictured left) and Gill Almaraz (pictured right) with the award, and TSA in turn presented her with a certificate of appreciation, and Federal and Austin Bergstrom Airport TSA challenge coins.
