A Printpack Associate Spotlight Series Meet Abby Davis: HR Generalist, Jackson, TN Abby started her Printpack journey in October 2019 as a part-time Human Resources intern in Jackson, TN. In 2020, Abby had an exciting year: she graduated from Union University with her bachelor’s degree in business administration and management, was hired into the recently vacated full-time HR Coordinator position in Jackson, bought a home, and got married. Throughout 2020 Abby often worked solo in the HR department as the pandemic had many leaders in the plant working from home. However, she had an HR Manager to help train and learn with, and she remained optimistic, open to change, and flexible. Her positive attitude and example of Printpack Core Values were a beacon of pleasant light during a very unsettling time. Since joining the HR team, Abby’s title was changed to HR Generalist, and she has become well-versed in supporting hourly and salaried associates. She understands Printpack’s HR support teams and knows who to connect with to get things done, get answers to questions, or find solutions for her team. She has learned much about legal compliance, reporting, investigations, payroll, benefits, administrative necessities, and finding work/life balance. Abby has taken ownership of all hiring efforts for Jackson’s operations and support teams and is dedicated to finding “the best candidates” for the plant. She is also instrumental in making new hire associates feel welcome even before
