We want to acknowledge the importance of June 19th, also known as Juneteenth and Emancipation Day. It is an important day in American history because it marks the end of slavery in the United States. It commemorates June 19, 1865, the day when Union Army General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that enslaved people in Texas were free. It is a time to remember the struggles and sacrifices of enslaved people and to honor their contributions to the development of this country. As a company, we want to honor the resilience and strength of Black Americans and recognize the impact that systemic racism and discrimination have had on our society. By acknowledging the past and recognizing the work that still needs to be done to achieve racial equity and justice, we can work towards a better future for all.
ProVest Skip Trace Investigator Ava Setteducato recently earned her Class “C” Private Investigator License from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Ava’s certification process was accelerated since she graduated from the University of Tampa with a BS in Criminology and Criminal Justice two years ago. Ava joined ProVest in December 2021. “When I was looking for a PI role, ProVest stood out. They were looking for Private Investigator License Interns to sponsor. Everyone in the Skip Trace Department has a state-issued C license or is on their way to meeting the requirements. My team works exclusively on heir searches. We handle cases with traditional mortgages as well as reverse mortgages. Our role is to locate and notify relatives of the decedent to protect any interest they may have in the property.” Ava said, "Each case is different, so my days are interesting. ProVest has a friendly environment with open communication. We feel valued for the work we do. I work with a team of experienced professionals—so I’m always learning."
“It makes my day when I can help find someone a job in their field. I love that I am a part of that process,” said Human Resource Specialist Hannah Yunker. She leads ProVest’s recruiting efforts nationwide, including new employee hiring and job transitions. We asked Hannah about her happy HR moments. “On several occasions, when I call someone to let them know they got the job, I occasionally get those candidates who scream for joy on the phone. It’s almost like they won the lottery. It is a big deal for someone to get the job offer which excites me for the next candidate I call.” Speaking of winning the lottery and landing a dream job, Hannah started her ProVest career as an intern. Hannah transitioned to a full-time role after graduating from the University of Tampa in June 2022. “I was attracted to ProVest because it is a smaller company with a family environment,” she said. “If it were not for my amazing team supporting me and helping me grow, I would not be where I am in the company today!” Interested in a career where work feels like a family? We are pleased to recognize TJ Pepin from our accounts payable team supporting our collections business with our Award of Excellence for embodying all four of ProVest’s Guiding Principles—a home run! According to his nomination: Integrity and Ethics. TJ is honest and hard-working. Earned Trust: He is knowledgeable and ensures that work is processed timely and accurately. Exceptional Teamwork: He helps team members understand the impact of their actions and how information flows within our processes. TJ is very respectful when identifying areas for improvement. Putting People First: TJ’s attendance is impeccable as he rarely takes time off, and any time he does take is scheduled when it will have a minimal impact on the team. Actions speak louder than words, and TJ’s actions speak loudly about how he has upheld our company’s Guiding Principles for 11 years. We are proud to have TJ on our Greenacres, Florida, office team.
Who is responsible for a people-first culture? Everyone is! Deb Dixon does whatever it takes to assist her coworkers and clients, including pitching in at the front desk at our Tampa office when needed. Deb is one of our process clerks and was recently recognized with an Award of Excellence for living ProVest's Guiding Principles. We celebrate a team member each month for living our principles: Integrity and Ethics, Earned Trust, People First, and Exceptional Together. Read what Process Clerk Frankie Conyers wrote in his nomination letter: "I met our nominee in February 2022. Deborah took me under her wing as a new hire and voluntarily showed me some of the do's and don'ts here at ProVest. She wasn't asked to help me. She wasn't even on my team. She offered, and it was appreciated. Deborah still leads by example a year later with her work ethic and integrity. She has not only earned the trust of her teammates but the trust of the entire floor, including management. She is the definition of a team player. Working alongside her is a pleasure."
Have you wondered what a company looks like when two-thirds of its workforce are women? How about successful, determined, collaborative, customer-focused, and relationship-oriented! Today, as the world celebrates International Women's Day, we want to honor the achievements of ProVest’s female coworkers—all 65%! We asked Kelly Boatenhammer, VP of Human Resources, about ProVest’s “secret sauce,” which enables the company to attract and retain a women’s majority workforce. “Our team members are respected and have great flexibility. Once we hire someone, they typically stay for the long term.” Kelly said, “We work with parents with childcare issues and doctor appointments. People at ProVest genuinely like each other—we’re a family and host monthly events. We also offer generous and affordable benefits.” Importantly, ProVest offers rewarding and interesting roles. “We know our talented and experienced women employees can work anywhere, and we’re grateful they’ve found a home with ProVest where they can excel personally and professionally.”
Today, we celebrate Employee Appreciation Day and our team members’ vast contributions and dedication to delivering for our clients every day. Our employees have deep industry knowledge enabling them to find solutions to client service needs. While many on our team have one, two, or nearly three decades of tenure, we continue to welcome new members to our ProVest family. ProVest’s leaders distributed branded insulated coolers to team members in sincere appreciation for all they do to make ProVest a great place to work. And while we get it done for clients, laughter and fun are celebrated core values at ProVest! Pictured: Davita Papol, Foreclosure Team Lead Davita Papol, and Senior Vice President Neil Heath.
Everyone has a story. Consider that ProVest VP Joel Rosenthal was a goalie on his high school hockey team and a DJ at the University of Rochester’s radio station. “I’ve had two careers. I had a successful run traveling to 40 countries selling branded woman’s underwear,” Joel said. “I was in Manhattan on 9/11. That tragedy led me to move to Cincinnati to work for a debt buyer for ten years. From there, I went into process serving in 2011.” ProVest acquired the company he was with in 2017, and Joel joined our team, bringing his expertise and relationships. He oversees business development and client relations for the collections side of our business. “I value a consultative, partnership-oriented approach to client relations and sales. I believe in meeting with clients face-to-face, whether in their offices or at conferences. It’s how we learn to trust and to best help.” Joel is an avid MLS soccer fan and FC Cincinnati season ticket holder. He also periodically fills in as a host of a weekend rock and roll show on WAIF 88.3 radio in Cincinnati. Have any requests? Let Joel know!

ProVest Manager Brendan Booth leads the team supporting our collection and foreclosure clients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Brendan is new to our team, joining in January 2021 when another service of process company closed during the pandemic. “I was attracted to ProVest because they are a well-known national brand. One of my former clients introduced me to Carl Turro. I was able to bring my 20 years of experience to the organization and expand ProVest service offerings to include sheriff sale attendance services in the northeast,” Brendan said. “ProVest treats everyone with respect and dignity. We have a hard-working yet laid-back culture. Our leaders give us autonomy—no micro-managing—and trust us to get the work done for our clients,” Brendan adds. “ProVest works at a higher level. We are innovative. Our technology systems can communicate with client systems. We have the resources to go anywhere in the country our clients need us to.”
