“We have a family atmosphere at ProVest,” says Service Manager Gina Milea, who joined the company in 2007. “Many of our team members have worked together for years. We care about each other. Our focus is on customer service. Since joining the company, I’ve worked with many of my clients, so we know each other. “Before moving to Florida and joining ProVest, I worked with a process serving company in New Jersey. One of the servers I worked with suggested I check out ProVest. Fifteen years later, as they say, the rest is history,” Gina adds. Gina’s team works with collections files in multiple states. “One of our team’s proudest accomplishments is working with our first client in Massachusetts. They have specific state regulations that require original files, so there is a lot of tracking. I’m happy to share that our work with that client is expanding. And the team I lead is growing.” As far as Gina’s work family, “We do a lot of memory-making activities including walking to raise funds for worthy organizations such as the American Cancer Society and to eradicate Juvenile Diabetes."
Westcoast Operations Manager Jerry White joined us in 2008. “I relocated from Dallas to Tampa and took a gamble on ProVest. I felt my title industry experience and paralegal education would make me a fit,” Jerry said. “As a manager and trainer, I advise all to know WHY they are performing the actions they are doing,” Jerry explains. “In my first year, I was performing an activity and did not know why I was doing it. I was questioned on the WHY. I took the next 24 hours to research the WHY and returned with the correct answer. Now I help my colleagues understand WHY their positions are important and to have the necessary knowledge and ownership.” Jerry said, “Our customer service and willingness to go above and beyond make ProVest special. We have a nationwide network and great communication among the offices that allow us to deliver results. ProVest has sustained the test of time, as 30 years in the business reflects. It has a strong foundation. The environment is professional but relaxed with an open-door policy which allows for clarity of the company message at all levels.”
Meet Jackie Mendoza, our accounts payable team lead based in Tampa. “When I joined the company in 2000, there were 20 employees. I started in the operations department and have worn a number of hats within the company. Along the way, I’ve made friends that I have today,” Jackie said. “It’s been fun getting to know the industry and company.” Jackie explains, “ProVest is loyal. Our leaders care about our team members. They take time to get to know us. I have enjoyed watching ProVest grow to become the company we are today. I stay because I believe in ProVest’s mission and vision for the future.” According to Jackie, “What makes ProVest different from our competitors is our friendly, relationship-based approach and family atmosphere. We work together to serve our clients—we understand their business and know how to get things done. Our servers make us who we are.”
In August 2017, ProVest acquired J.J.L. Process Corp. and welcomed an incredibly strong team of creditor rights service of process professionals to our family. Director of Operations Amanda Wallwork is located in our Florida Greenacres office, where she has oversight for our centralized processes and our southeast region clients, which includes the markets of FL, GA, SC, AL, TN, AR, MS, and LA. “I worked at J.J.L. for ten years before joining the ProVest team. The transition was smooth. We had greater support and could better serve our clients,” Amanda said. “I’ve always appreciated that ProVest gives its offices the resources and autonomy to work with our local teams.” Amanda adds, “Our Greenacres office is like a little family—people would do anything to help each other and our clients. As a working mom, I appreciate ProVest’s flexibility. I’m able to take care of my family and have a rewarding career.” Thanks to Amanda and our collection service of process professionals across the country for all you do to support our clients.
Scott Campbell is a senior IT professional. “I organize, facilitate, identify and offer solutions to our clients, taking project ownership,” he said. “The first step is listening. When you truly understand the driving forces, you are better positioned to exceed their needs and expectations. When you do that consistently, it forges a deeper connection which the client respects, appreciates, and relies upon.” Scott said, “We do everything with the client in mind. We recently worked with a client undergoing some challenges. Together we built a plan and executed it to their delight.” “Before joining ProVest in 2013, I interviewed the company as intently as they were interviewing me. I look for and enjoy challenges. However, the friendships, the camaraderie, and deep sense of family are why I keep logging in every day—it’s why I continue to partner with my ProVest teammates,” he said. “We offer our clients versatility and a spectrum of services. The important work we do together makes it rewarding and worthwhile.”
“Many companies talk about having a family atmosphere, but at ProVest, it’s real,” said HR VP Kelly Nelsen. “I was born in Florida and attended the University of South Florida. Before coming to ProVest in May 2019, I was working in Virginia but wanted to return. When I met with the leadership team, I immediately felt a connection. It was like coming home and getting reacquainted with people you somehow knew. I sensed ProVest’s leadership and momentum, and I wanted to be part of it.” Kelly said, “At ProVest, people care about each other and are willing to help. Our relationships are such that our clients know we’ll go the extra mile with integrity, and they’ll get a person on the phone to listen and to problem solve. We have highly experienced and tenured team members with half of our employees having between 3 to 9 years with us. That’s not typical in today’s transient workforce, where people like to job hop. And more than 60% of our team members are women! Importantly, we have fun. Humor is celebrated, and we laugh.”
Ross Callese is the Director of Operations, located in Phoenix. “I support a team tasked with managing the service of process for our creditors rights law firms covering nine states in the southwest and western regions of the U.S., with responsibility for our Arizona, Las Vegas, and Denver offices.” Before coming to ProVest 3 years ago, Ross worked for J.J.L. Process Corp., a company we acquired to expand our creditor rights collections offerings. Ross said, “It’s refreshing to share in the ethics and professionalism of the company you work for. From day one I have felt the warm welcome as if I had been here for 30 years. While ProVest has a long list of tenured and seasoned professionals to be proud of, I desire to make sure we maintain that warm welcome when we are searching for and recruiting the best talent in the industry as we move into the next 30 years.” Ross adds, “ProVest remains on the cutting edge of technology and compliance within our space. It’s exciting to be able to ‘Wow’ a client with the unparalleled services we provide. One size does not fit all and being able
This year we are celebrating our 30th anniversary, growing from a Florida-based business to a national brand and industry leader serving clients in every state. We are grateful to our team members and many clients who helped make this milestone possible.
ProVest goes above and beyond to help clients. We understand last-minute challenges, so we quickly pivot,” said VP of Operations Karen Cowie. “I work in our New York office and assist our Northeast clients from Maine to Virginia. We have a knack for getting things done that others cannot do, including serving hard-to-reach and elusive defendants.” Karen joined ProVest in 2007 when the New York company she was working with was acquired, giving her nearly 20 years of experience. “There was some trepidation during the acquisition, but the transition was amazing. Our team had more tools, more resources, better benefits, and an expanded client portfolio. ProVest truly cares about its employees. I’m grateful to be part of this family. We give our employees flexibility, and we care about their non-work lives, too!” Looking to the future, Karen said, “Our entire ProVest team has done great work over the last challenging year. The future looks bright and we’re eager to help make our clients successful.”
