🏡 More Life, Not Just More Space: PulteGroup Survey Reveals What Today’s Move-Up Buyers Value Most June is Homeownership Month, and today’s buyers are redefining what homeownership and upgrading looks like. PulteGroup conducted an online survey in May 2026 among 1,325 U.S. homeowners who recently purchased their next home. New research from the survey reveals that move-up buyers are focused on finding the right home, not necessarily the biggest one. In fact, 51% purchased a home that was the same size or smaller than their previous home, yet 78% said their new home met or exceeded expectations. The survey highlights a shift toward prioritizing functionality, thoughtful design, and lifestyle fit alongside square footage. At PulteGroup, we understand that homebuyers aren't simply looking for more square footage. They're looking for homes that support the way they live. From modern kitchens and flexible living areas to outdoor spaces that bring people together, we're focused on creating homes that evolve with our customers' needs and help them live life better.
