Great Company, High Standards
May 31, 2023 - Anonymous Employee in Raleigh, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Company is locally managed at a division level with corporate overseeing big-picture things. The local management of the company is really the main factor in your experience here and in the Raleigh-Durham area, it is fantastic. The management team is an actual team in every essence of the word and they work hard. They are great at what they do and support the company well. They do also have quite high standards so this can be a higher pressure workplace at times, although it’s almost never cultivated in uncomfortable ways.
Cons
That high pressure can be difficult to maintain sometimes. Apart from that, most positions are not a traditional 9-5 if you want to progress in your career here.

Good benefits, culture, training, opportunity
Cons
To execute the company vision and create and mentor teams is still in the hands of the managers. Pulte is doing the best they can to facilitate a great enviroment.

Bad company they withhold pay
Jun 1, 2023 - Sales Consultant in Mission Viejo, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good work environment. Colleagues are nice and supportive. Benefits are were appealing.
Cons
Contract is one sided, & rigged to take your commission away should they decide. Don’t work too hard or they’ll terminate you for no reason and keep your pay. Pay structure’s constantly changing. Management is based on the person filling those shoes but at the time of my departure they were no help.

Fun People. Limited Career/Comp Growth Within Division Finance.
Feb 28, 2023 - Division Assistant Controller in Charleston, SCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Strong culture of in office camaraderie and informal socialization - Great environment to learn the basics of accounting for real estate development and homebuilding - Great place to learn from leaders in other functions. Many of the land development, construction, and customer relations staff are sharp and effective leaders - Stable organization with a tendency for slow carefully managed change (a great place to work if you are comfortable with completing processes "the way they have always been done" on a long term basis instead of always being pushed for continuous improvement)
Cons
- Limited compensation and opportunities for career growth in comparison to the broader market - Limited exposure to technical accounting issues or independent decision making - Culture that prioritizes face time and in office socializing as much if not more than effectiveness or competence. This could also be a pro depending upon your preferences.
