Public knowledge and perception of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) can help shape the federal, state, and local governments’ response to the pandemic and indicate whether those strategies are effective. RTI surveyed over 2,000 Americans in April 2020 to capture their awareness of COVID-19, their understanding of how the virus is transmitted, and their levels of support for potential community mitigation strategies. The survey was weighted to reflect the U.S. population. In this four-part webinar series, we will share the outcomes from the RTI-funded survey and provide a detailed analysis of the implications from that data.

Our researchers help collect, process, and analyze data that are included in O*NET, the most comprehensive standard source of occupational information in the U.S. Since starting data collection in 2001, we have surveyed more than 225,000 job incumbents and 10,000 occupation experts in more than 940 occupations. A recent POLITICO story identifying low-income workers in the U.S. as most vulnerable to the economic effects of #COVID19 featured the O*NET data prominently.

#DYK that India could become one of the largest electric vehicle markets in the world? India is turning to electric vehicles to address the nation’s environmental concerns and rising number of imported goods. However, this solution does not account for the country’s native resources or current vehicles on the road. In a new Insights post, #RTIIndia’s Prasanna Perumal argues the country’s transportation energy solution must go beyond electric vehicles. #electricvehicles #energy #India
