LinkedIn post from Angela one of our Account Executives: While in Chicago for Chicago RIMS, Mary and I spent an afternoon visiting Nourishing Hope, one of our nonprofit partners. Nourishing Hope strives to serve the needs of the whole person by providing food, mental wellness counseling and other social services to those in need. The mural that adorns the building represents the diversity of the people they serve, surrounded by inspirational messages and colorful flowers. Sam, who toured us around the facility, explained the significance of the flowers. Each family receives a bouquet of flowers along with their box of food at distribution. What a wonderful way to make someone smile! While in the warehouse where volunteers were packing boxes, we met Maria who was busy labeling boxes. She greeted us with a smile and said she enjoys the welcoming environment and the work she does at the food pantry (where they have served more than 22,000 people in just the first quarter of their fiscal year). Keeping busy at the nonprofit along with physical therapy has been helping with her recovery and she is grateful to her employer for providing this opportunity.
