SDG unequivocally denounces any acts of violence against members of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Community. In recognition of AAPI month, SDG took to Slack to provide helpful information on ways to learn and participate in the month. Documentaries were shared - including a favorite on PBS, and helpful tips on how people can find other stories through Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and more. We also provided a place for SDGers to share their favorite recipes and are excited to announce SDG's very own, Mike Huang, will host a night of fun and learning to teach others how to craft his famous wonton's. In addition, SDG also provided links to Hollaback! which provides free virtual trainings tailored specifically to stopping Anti-Asian/America harassment and provided people a safe place to report any harassment or discrimination they witness or experience on their own through MDHR Discrimination Helpline or StopAAPIHate.com. It was a great month of learning, sharing and connecting with the SDG Community.
