It's #SDGspiritweek! Because, why not? Yesterday, was PJ day and today is talent tuesday. Adding a little fun to the work week helps create a place for employees to connect.
Last Friday we celebrated #worldmentalhealthday a day early by taking a walk during lunch. It was great to hear from SDG'ers that they enjoyed getting out in nature. If fresh air is something you are seeking, get out there and try some of the best hikes and walks in Minnesota.

sdg employees make us a Best Place to Work! Our core value of providing an "excellent employee experience" makes each of us think about how we could make another smile, make the day a little better, or be a shoulder when times are tough.
We are excited to be among the top 5 of mid-size companies placing at #3 for the 150 Top Workplace award in the Twin Cities by the Star Tribune. Each year, there are hundreds of companies that participate in this program and only 150 are selected. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment because it is based on how our employees view sdg as a place to work. Throughout the year - sdg'ers learn, share, and connect with each other building this amazing community/workplace that we call sdg. Congratulations, sdg! View the entire list in the special section in the Star Tribune.
We know how hard it can be to not know where your next meal is coming from and we are proud to see our friends at Second Harvest Heartland do all that they can by partnering with so many other organizations to get help to those who need it! We wanted to help too. The sdg Gives Committee assisted team sdg to focus our giving efforts on helping our neighbors with food insecurity. Our employees donated $6,787.91. This is a new record for sdg fundraisers! With sdg’s match and a match secured by Second Harvest, this equates to a $27,151.64 donation. Second Harvest will be able to provide 81,455 meals because of these donations. Wow, isn't that incredible? Our sincerest thanks and gratitude go out to Second Harvest for your support of our community. Ever wonder what 1,700 k-cups look like? A member of our team went in search of a way to give back and support healthcare workers. After catching up with a friend who works at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul she knew what they needed - COFFEE. For safety, the only coffee allowed to be brewed at the hospital were k-cups and with shifts being long and intense coffee was needed. We raised money and were able to help the staff with one little thing that we could do help. We sincerely appreciate the work that everyone one is doing coming together to help those in need especially all the healthcare workers.
Atomic Habits sdg book club went virtual. Deep in thought, it was great to hear what other learned from the book and what habits they are working on. Many of the #sdgbookclub agreed that if you like processes Atomic Habits might be the book for you. #sdgbookclub #learningcommunity #virtualbookclub #atomichabits
