During Sun Outdoors’ and Sun Communities’ annual Elevate Conference, which brings together community and resort managers for networking and training opportunities, attendees spent a day volunteering for Camp Quality USA, Camp Quality Canada and local Florida children’s hospitals, packing care backpacks for children and families battling cancer. This event is an opportunity for Sun Outdoors to give back to its community and allow attendees to volunteer their time to help support the organization's mission of making the outdoors accessible to all. This year, around 700 attendees assembled 6,500 tote bags filled with activities and notes of inspiration for the children and their families. Thank you to all involved! You are a shining example of Sun’s We Over Me mindset!
We are excited to share that Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors & our partner National Park Foundation have received Engage for Good's Silver Halo Award in the Best Consumer-Activated Corporate Donation Initiative category. The award is for National Park Foundation and Sun's “Bringing Communities Together in Nature” campaign, which provided multiple avenues for Sun Outdoors consumers to give back to the national parks they cherish. Sun Outdoors Commits to Making Camping More Inclusive
Southfield, Michigan, Jan. 03, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sun Communities, Inc. This commitment is part of a concerted effort by Sun to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and ultimately reach net-zero emissions to limit global warming and prevent the adverse effects of climate change.

For the 12th straight year, Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors has been named a Top Workplace in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press! This year there were 200 companies that made the list and Sun placed at number 20 amongst similar sized companies! Sun was also recently named as a Top Workplace in Central Florida by the Orlando Sentinel Media Group for the second consecutive year, coming in at number 29 amongst similar sized employers in the area. Since 2021, Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors and Camp Quality have partnered to help bring the joy of the outdoors to a group of children and families who need it the most. This non-profit organization serves children with cancer and their families by providing year-round programs, experiences, and companionship, at no cost. These weekend getaways have provided the attendees a chance to interact with others who are in similar circumstances.
