'I Am Delighted To Have It' Davis ED Doctor & Chief Medical Executive Welcomes Vaccine's Added Protection "I just received the COVID-19 vaccine, and I am delighted to have it. I feel like this is the start of me getting new protection against COVID-19. "From what I’ve read about this journey, about the vaccines that are being manufactured or are through trials, they’ve followed the scientific principles of vaccine making and so I felt very confident."
She thanks Sutter for her job–and her survival “I was so scared. I nearly died. I have no family in California, and my family in Ohio couldn’t come out. I had no one but the nurses at my bedside. “It was so humbling being taken care of by my fellow nurses. Our nurses were so kind and patient with me. One of them gave me a card to encourage me. Another one would hold my hand every night and pray with me.” Herleine Mirasol, R.N. Oncology nurse, SMCS

A group photo, social-distance style! The Critical Care Transition in Practice program at Sutter Health University celebrated its thirteenth cohort of nurses who completed the one-year training program this week. It is a tradition for the program's graduating cohorts to take a group picture outside standing together, but due to social distancing and masking requirements, the thirteenth cohort had to make some adjustments. We think the photo turned out great! Congratulations to the nurses of Cohort 13! You all are amazing! #shu #socialdistancing #squadgoals #criticalcarenurses #sutterstrong
