This May, we celebrated Asian American Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month in the U.S., a time to reflect on and celebrate the remarkable role of the AANHPI community in American history. Our Asian Heritage Alliance Employee Resource Group (AHA ERG) supported this year’s theme, “Advancing Leaders Through Opportunity” by hosting a variety of events and learning opportunities that spotlight AANHPI heritage, leaders, and change-makers. From a workshop on finding your purpose and values with Betty Ng, CEO of Inspiring Diversity, to a youth book drive, mental health fireside chat, and even a Bollywood Dance class, our AHA ERG created meaningful opportunities for our team members to learn more and connect with the AANHPI culture. A special thank you to our AHA ERG leaders for curating this calendar of events!

We ❤️ teachers, which is why we were thrilled to surprise over 1,500 teachers with Coach, kate spade new york, and Stuart Weitzman product last week as part of Teacher Appreciation Week! Inspired by the Dream It Real mission of the Coach Foundation and in partnership with the nonprofit Soles4Souls, we hosted pop-up ‘shops’ in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Dallas, where teachers and staff from low-income school districts received handbags, accessories, and shoes from all of our brands. Teacher Appreciation Week is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate our community educators for their unwavering contributions to the next generation – so today, and every day, thank you. Last but not least, a special shoutout to our 80+ local store associates who came out to volunteer at these special events – you made the experience possible! #OurTapestry #CoachFoundation #DreamItReal
As part of the Dream It Real program, we’re proud to spotlight the Coach Foundation’s recent partnership with Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design (PLC) to create a 6-week custom design course with a focus on sustainability, supporting the development of young creatives aspiring to break into the industry of footwear and accessories design. The Coach Foundation aims to remove barriers and create opportunities for the next generation of young people who have the courage to dream it real. Together with PLC, the only Historically Black College and University with a specialization in design and product creation, the Coach Foundation developed a customized curriculum for students from non-traditional education backgrounds studying footwear and accessories design. Last week, at the culmination of the program, the students joined us at our Hudson Yards HQ for a day of mentorship, networking, and to present their final projects to Coach and Tapestry leadership and receive feedback on their designs. Thank you to the students for your innovative and inspiring work!

The Coach Foundation and Tapestry’s Prouder Together Employee Resource Group recently teamed up to host our first 'Prouder Together Student Dream Day' for students from Hetrick-Martin Institute and the Point Foundation. LGBTQIA+ youth who are receiving scholarships from the Coach Foundation teamed up with Tapestry senior leaders and volunteers from across our brands – Coach, kate spade new york, and Stuart Weitzman – for an impactful afternoon of networking, panel discussions, and office tours. Our goal? Help today’s youth navigate the transition from student to professional while celebrating their authentic selves. A big thank you to all of our Tapestry volunteers who helped to make the day a success!
