Meet Our People: Torrey A., We asked Torrey how he celebrates Black History Month. This was his response: "Black History is really a history of America. To celebrate Black History Month, I share relevant history with others. I have been a member of a morning workout crew for more than 15 years. My crew consists of many nationalities, races, and genders. For the past few years, I have been sending biography excerpts of prominent African Americans who have contributed to the fiber of the country. It has been very enlightening to me and my crew, and it sparks conversations we would never have had if I had not shared these pieces of history with them." #BlackHistoryMonth #WeAreWM #BHM

We are getting ready to kick off the zero waste WM Phoenix Open golf tournament! WM is proud to sponsor the Greenest Show on Grass for the 14th year. The WM Phoenix Open has been a zero waste event since 2013, and there's a lot behind the phrase, "Greenest Show On Grass." But what makes this the greenest show? Here are a few facts, but check out more in our WMPO Sustainability Report for more. - The first golf organization to sign on to the UN Sports for Climate Action initiative, with a 50% reduction target by 2030 and net zero operations by 2040. - 100% of vendors contractually commit to the reuse, donation, recycling or composting of all materials brought on-site. - All the electricity purchased for course operations is 100% renewable. Weโre mindful of where and how we operate, as sustainability is more than just helping the environment, it's about impacting communities, too. Since becoming the title sponsor in 2010, the WMPO has raised more than $110 million for local charities. Hereโs to having a great time on the green while working for a sustainable tomorrow!
Meet Our People: Latischa R. We asked Latischa how we can continue Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s message of inclusion and equality. This was her response: "We can continue Dr. Kingโs message of inclusion and equality in our lives by treating inclusion and equality as action words. Weโre all human. Thatโs all that matters. I make a conscious effort to treat everyone equally with dignity and respect. We have to zero in on our emotions and care about how things affect others.
