Telent has won a prestigious The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Award, recognising the company's commitment to health and safety excellence for fleet safety 🛣️ The RoSPA Awards is in its 68th year as the UK’s largest health and safety programme and receives almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries to offer a platform to spotlight an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in health and safety. NCW has a pivotal role raising awareness of neurodiversity, highlighting the unique strengths and perspectives of individuals with neurological variations, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, Tourette syndrome, and more. Telent is delivering free business advice and resources to voluntary, social and community enterprises to improve local services & unlock future funding 📈 This includes social value initiatives that were valued at £650,911 as part of a 10-year contract to carry out signal maintenance on more than 160 highways for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. The initiatives are part of Telent's strategy and commitment to provide maximum social return on investment (SROI) to its customers through measurable social benefits to the communities it operates in. Telent’s Team 3 Graduates have partnered with Hill Close Gardens Trust Limited (HCG) to improve its sustainability, accessibility and inclusivity with a range of technology upgrades. Rich in historical and cultural relevance, HCG, established in 1845, is now nationally recognised following its recent restoration. However, the Covid lockdowns and coming out of the pandemic, have made it difficult to connect regular members with the gardens. Team 3 identified and deployed a number of Telent’s technology services that could benefit HCG's visitors. This included: 🛜 Upgrading and extending the digital network to enhance visitor experienced with improved Wi-Fi 📹Installing live stream cameras to increase online accessibility to the garden’s wildlife ⛅Upgrading the weather station software to enhance the management of the grounds with real-time weather data Read more about the project here:
Telent is proud to be sponsoring Lillington Juniors Football Club’s U9 Magpies, as part of our commitment to supporting the local communities in which we operate. The sponsorship has helped create opportunities for children to participate in football, providing the team with new equipment and football kit for the season ahead. As well as on-the-pitch, the club is doing some great work off-the-pitch, proving classroom sessions on topics from anti-bulling and internet safety for the young footballers. At Telent, we are committed to creating a positive impact on the communities in which we operate. To that end, and in support of our social value programme, we have recently sponsored Midlands-based junior football team, Halas Hawkes. Based in Rowley Regis, an area in which Telent maintains traffic signals at a key junction, the team recently played their first winter game, marking the debut of their new Telent branded coats, which will prove essential heading into the winter season. Telent has been recognised by Juniper Networks at its "AI in Action" partner and customer event with the Enterprise Network Transformation Partner 2023 award. The award, which recognises Telent’s expertise with Juniper’s intent-based solution for major network transformation projects across the public sector, was collected by Sales Director, Shani Latif and Partner Manager, Meredethe Marshall at the event, which took place on November 9 in London. We are delighted to announce that our project for Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust to upgrade the critical communications for 800 ambulance service vehicles in Wales is underway. Telent is installing new specialist equipment as part of the Mobile Data and Vehicle Solution, including a vehicle data router and a fully ruggedised Panasonic Toughbook touch screen tablet device. The new equipment has already been installed and tested in a dozen ambulances in Bangor, Newtown, Merthyr Tydfil, Bargoed and Haverfordwest, which have since responded to more than 2,000 incidents.
