I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cornerstone Research (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2011
Interview
Two back to back case interviews with some casual chat at the beginning. One case on patent, one on antitrust. Strongly recommend candidates take a look at the publications on the company website. Methodologies and examples are included.
The process began with an email notification asking graduates to schedule their interviews on a given week; the case studies consisted of two half hour technical economic case studies with a junior, then senior, level analyst, accompanied with behavioral questions. For the case studies, the first was easy, the second was quite difficult.
I interviewed at Cornerstone Research (Boston, MA)
Interview
very smoothly planned and the timeline from applying to final round was around two weeks so pretty fast. first round was a lot easier than final round, but that can also just be attributed to the difference in interview duration.
Interview questions [1]

I interviewed at Cornerstone Research (Washington, DC)
Interview
The first round will be two back-to-back 30-minute interviews with analyst/associate (usually juniors who joined the company 2-3 years ago). 5 min behavioral + 20 min case + Q&A. Got asked some pretty technical econometrics questions.
