I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in May 2011
Interview
I found Epic through a college job fair. Over the few weeks afterward, they had me do a personality test online, followed by an easy and informal phone interview. Later I had to take a proctored skills test of computer programming & mathematical knowledge. Following this, I would have had an on-site interview, but I was not chosen - probably because of my lack of advanced computer programming (I had to list my specific programming background on the skills test)

Interview
Delivery of writing samples, an initial, brief intro interview with HR, followed by two true interviews with different stakeholders. They sent lots of materials before the second interview with premade videos about the campus and benefits.

Applied online, had a short phone interview, followed by an online test, moderated by a third party, and a final phone interview. It was a long process and took many weeks.

Interview
I had a phone interview about the position and the company as a whole and then performed an online assessment. The phone interview was very helpful and informative, but the assessment felt wholly unrelated to the position as it was described to me.
