I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stryker in Mar 2011
Interview
Contacted me via my universities website , signed up for half hour open time slot, during the interview they just asked me the basic questions; how did you overcome an obstacle, biggest weakness, how did you hear about the job, why did you apply, etc. It was my first interview so i was pretty nervous, but from talking to other people it did not seem like a hard interview. The guy was very nice about everything. When the interview concluded I asked him what i did well and what i did not so well and he happily answered my questions.
The interview process involved resume shortlisting, an initial technical round focusing on domain knowledge, followed by a coding test, a final HR round, and a discussion about the project experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to explain a challenging project I had worked on, including the problem, my approach to solving it, and the tools or technologies I used.
Process was slow and took about one month of interviewing. They’ll definitely question your technical knowledge. Make sure to have good presentation skills, know your math, manufacturing and showcase all your projects
Unfortunately, not good. They bailed on the interview without notice. I'm not sure if this was a communication error on their part or the engineer was busy who would have given me an interview. But since they didn't get back to me, I'm assuming they just are unprofessional all around.
